what’s my plan then?
I had big goals for this webpage; I didn’t want it to just be a blog.
The ultimate goal was to create multiple different pages
to form an entire site that was an extension of
my thoughts, my visions, and my creativity.
I have many topics that interest me, and I love to deep dive and make sense of everything.
The more I learn, the more I understand just how woven everything is.
Sharing these thoughts seems like a no brainer to me,
as I began to develop this site, I quickly realized that
the platform doesn’t allow much freedom.
I can’t customize much, it’s led to a subpar page,
something just outside of what I had envisioned.

So what now…
For a while, I sat on it
I didn’t feel the need to rush and find a solution.
I truly want everything I produce to be with intent and care.
Everything I do is an extension of me.
I started by researching the different solutions.
What I’m looking for is being able to customize the website and
being able to operate it long term.
You have to pay for the domain name!
That’s how all of this started,
I saw an ad for $13 websites for one year through WordPress.
I thought it would be fun/funny, I didn’t even know what to do with it. I bought the domain name in November,
I didn’t start messing around with the website until late January.
By February I had an idea,
not really sure where to start but I knew that I wanted to start.
What we’ve been cooking ↴
What does that mean?
I didn’t realize my $13/year subscription was a steal.
It can be fairly cheap to run a basic website through a provider,
but if I’m going to keep going with this long term I don’t want
to be paying.
In order for me to have full control of customization and keep cost at a minimum,
I am going to build my own site.
Webpage visitors won’t notice a change, (hopefully!)
I plan on building it in the background until November,
fully launching when this subscription through WordPress expires.

what’s in my bag?
In the meantime!
I’ve learned so much during this process.
I didn’t know what it took to build or run a website before this,
it has sparked creativity in me that I never knew existed.

Quick catch up:
I’ve been on animal crossing a lot this past week.
I hadn’t been on in a couple years and decided it’s time to redesign my island.
